Late season butterflies

A few late summer butterflies to wrap up the season...all from August 31-September 1, 2019 in Kittitas County, Washington. Note the sage-green eyes on the metalmarks, aren't they gorgeous?

    1. Thank you! That's very encouraging. I just got a new ring flash setup for Christmas (Nikon dual flash on a lens-mounted ring, can add up to 6 for a total of 8 flashes on the ring) that I'm excited to learn, already it is improving my specimen photography. Can't wait to see how it works in the field!
